About the Farm.

King Pine Farms offers a picturesque backdrop for a multitude of experiences.  Interspersed throughout the property are towering white pines, twisting trails and thousands of trees. With over 100 secluded acres, the farm delivers on an out-of-the-way setting while still being close to the cities.

Our name is inspired by both the white pines on the property and the independent spirit of the early American colonists. Back in the late 1600’s the King of England mandated that all white pines, which were used for ship masts for the Royal Navy, belonged to him and were to be given a “King’s Mark” comprised of three hatchet slashes cut into the trunk of the tree.  The colonists resisted the declaration and the result was “The White Pine Wars” which were instrumental in the progress toward the revolution.  We designed our brand as a tribute to those majestic white pines and early Americans.

Our property is a mix of evergreen trees and mature forest.  And with a wildlife lake tucked deep in the woods it is a serene location with plenty of breathing room.

Our trees are in transition. We purchased an old tree farm in 2016 and are working to re-established it by planting new trees. We are currently re-establishing our Christmas tree farm. Christmas trees take 8-10 years to mature, and our goal is to plant 1500 trees each year.

Our lavender plot, Woods Edge Lavender, continues to expand. We planted our first lavender shrubs in 2021 and experienced our first harvest in 2022. We have continued to expand and now have 470 lavender shrubs. See the Lavender tab for more information.

Our workshop/barn is a rustic space that features expansive windows, repurposed metal chandeliers and former camp craft tables.  As the original farmhouse structure on the property, it has been renovated into a creative and bright place to craft.
